"Extensive, sudden and persistent crusty & bleeding skin rashes"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

Almost exactly one year ago (April 2024), out of the blue I started getting large areas of crusty skin patches / rashes on my lower torso, both front and back and extending to upper and lower areas on my legs. These large areas scab over, itch, burn and bleed badly.

My pharmacy helped with courses of topical creams, but to no avail. In October last year, my GP prescribed 2 weeks of steroid creams, but again to no avail and offered no diagnoses.

I was then referred to Raigmore, but I'm still waiting for an appointment to be seen by a Dermatologist. I'm already a 3xcancer patient, so how do I know whether this skin problem is not another form of cancer or even a mutation of my existing blood cancer? Help please!

When will I get to see a Dermatologist at Raigmore to diagnose, treat and hopefully resolve the condition, and to also put my mind to rest?

Update posted by gemini64a (the patient)

Many many thanks, I will follow up as suggested, I also have a routine face-to-face with my haemo / blood cancer consultant in 3 weeks and will show him the extent of the problem to see if we can push things along and to perhaps determine if it may or may not be some kind of auto-immune system mutation of my existing blood cancer. Thank you so much again.
