"The whole team was amazing"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Emergency department General and specialist medicine / Ward 41 (AMU) Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a relative),

Mum was in AMU twice recently.

I have to say the staff nurses, doctors and support staff are amazing.

The team are friendly, compassionate and amazing.

They all go the extra mile.

Mum was taken in by ambulance the staff were professional, calm and knowledgeable.

Then Mum arrived in A&E. Peter the consultant was outstanding, his dedication, knowledge and care was 2nd to none.

He checked on Mum every day and took time.

The nurse from Limavady - I didn't get her name -  was amazing.

Then Mum moved to ward 41.

She meant Sarah and her student nurse Maroa they were so kind, caring and compassionate. Nothing was a bother. I can't praise them enough.

The whole team was amazing on the first visit.

4 days later mum was readmitted and received the same care.

Pardon the RGN was so kind, feeding mum, listening to her needs and being professional.

Ethan the doctor was very professional, kind and caring.

I can't thank the team enough and have nothing put praise for every one of ward 41 staff.

Thanks a million. You are the real NHS

It was reassuring to learn of the professional, calm, and knowledgeable approach of the paramedics. As an organisation we are committed to consistently showing compassion, professionalism, and respect for the patients we care for. I wish your mum the best with your recuperation.

Best wishes,

Neil
