"Wonderful care received"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Imaging (Xrays and Scans) Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / neurosurgery Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatric surgery ( Wards 3A & 3B)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted late January following severe headaches and speech disturbance and had two admissions to ward 3A requiring neurosurgery.

Cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention he received and the support we also received as a family during this very stressful, emotional and difficult time. From being admitted though A&E, short stay ward and then ward 3A we were treated with compassion and kindness by all members of staff. Also a mention to the fantastic paediatric neurosurgical team who are amazing and who we can't thank enough. Also to mention the wonderful care we received by the staff at MRI scanning.

Dear Jo8182

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed account of your son's care journey with us. We are so pleased to hear that despite the challenging circumstances, you felt supported and well cared for by our team. The staff across A&E, the short stay ward, and ward 3A are committed to providing compassionate care, and it's wonderful to know they made a difference during what must have been an incredibly difficult time for you and your family.

We are also delighted to hear your praise for the paediatric neurosurgical team and the MRI scanning staff. We will ensure that your kind words are passed along to the teams, who I'm sure will be touched to hear you had such a positive experience.

Thank you again for your kind feedback. We wish your son a full and speedy recovery, and we are always here for you and your family should you need anything further in the future.

Kind regards

Kevin
