I recently attended Lingfield Surgery for the screening appointment that all women dread. While the experience was overall professional, there were a few areas where I feel improvements could be made.
First, the positives. The nurse who performed my screening was professional, reassuring, and explained everything clearly. She answered my questions without rushing me and made an effort to ensure I was comfortable throughout. The procedure itself was as quick as it could be, and she maintained a respectful and calm manner.
However, my appointment was delayed by several minutes, which added to my stress levels. I understand that medical appointments sometimes run over, but when you're already feeling a little nervous about a procedure, sitting in the waiting room for longer than expected doesn’t help. I’d appreciate better time management or at least an update if appointments are running behind.
Overall, the care I received was good, but the surgery could make a few adjustments to improve the experience such as investing in a couch with stirrups for this type of appointment.
I Would recommend the surgery for routine care, but hopefully, they’ll take patient comfort into account for procedures like these in the future.
