"Thank you to the team!"

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries Occupational Therapy Paediatrics / Children's Ward 29 Physiotherapy / Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Trauma & Orthopaedics / Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery

(as a service user),

We just wanted to express our massive thanks to the amazing team that helped our son following a rugby injury a couple of weeks ago.

From his arrival at MIIU in Arbroath to his being discharged from ward 29 at Ninewells, following surgery, he has been lucky to have been cared for by an incredible team of Receptionists, Nurses, Radiographers, Assistants, Porters, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Domestic staff and Anaesthetic, Paediatric and Orthopaedic specialists. Particular thanks to Stephen (good luck with the remainder of your studies!) and Aileen in Arbroath MIIU, Lindsay and Clair in Arbroath X-Ray, Ali, Kelvin and Rebecca in Ward 29, Abaas in Ninewells X-ray, Laura in CT, Max and team in Anaesthetics, Tara in Occupational Therapy, Sophie and Gina in Physiotherapy and Alasdair MacInnes, Katie, Minhas and Beth in Orthopaedics. Really, thank you all so much for your expertise and amazing patient care.

It really takes a lot of people to put a fractured ankle back together!

Our son is well on his way to recovery, keen to heal well so that.... he can get back to the rugby pitch!

Thank you all!

Dear gratefulparent82

Thank you very much for taking the time to complete a Care Opinion. We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to enhance and improve our service.

I am sorry to hear your son sustained an ankle injury while playing rugby but delighted you had a positive experience in the Arbroath Minor Injuries Unit.

I will ensure your positive feedback is shared with both Aileen and Stephen and the rest of the team in Arbroath MIIU.

We wish your son a quick recovery, and hope he can return to the rugby pitch soon.

Best Wishes.

Rhianne Roberts

Dear grateful parent82,

Thank you for such positive feedback.

You are certainly correct when you say it takes a lot of people to help the patient during their journey, and it is so kind and thoughtful of you to have remembered so many by name.

I will certainly share with the team here in ward 29 in Ninewells.

I hope your son's recovery is going well and wish him well with his rugby

Many thanks

Sam Russell
