"The environment made me able to relax"

I was in for an iron infusion at 29 weeks pregnant and had the most amazing experience in the DOU room at Antrim Area Hospital. After a very stressful day, and feeling very low due to low iron stores and faintness for a few weeks, the environment made the experience of receiving an iron infusion so positive. Mary the midwife there had the walls covered in positive affirmations and the room was dimly lit. The environment made me able to relax while I had the treatment done and I was so grateful for the attention to detail and care taken.
