I had to have some blood tests done today. The nurse who I saw was kind, caring, professional, and friendly. She was training a Pharmacy technician (I think that was her role) on how to take blood. She asked my permission for the trainee to do this. I, of course, said yes. The trainee didn’t manage to take my blood as the vein kept moving around. The nurse explained what was happening and how to deal with it. With the agreement of the trainee she went on to use a different type of needle, and was successful. She explained everything calmly and professionally. I was included in the explanations. I was very impressed with her manner and how she helped the trainee to understand everything. Just waiting for the results to come back now.
