"Offers the most amazing support"

About: Health Visitors / Lisburn & Dunmurray Health Visitors

(as a parent/guardian),

I had a little baby boy in March 2024. My little boy was born with Congenital Heart Disease. We have had many hospital admissions and transferred to Dublin for his surgeries on being major open-heart surgery.

Throughout all of this our health visitor Gemma has been absolutely fantastic.

The support she has provided over this last year was next to nothing and not only to my son but me also.

Every hospital admission I would always get a text message from her to check how myself and my baby were keeping. Gemma done extra home visits (weekly weights) throughout all of this to ensure he had the best care and referred onto other health professionals when needed.

The first day we met Gemma I knew we were very lucky to have her as our health visitor, she was warm, kind and softly spoken and from them we built a great relationship.

Gemma made me feel at ease throughout are visits and I felt I was able to open up and speak to her on how I was feeling.

Gemma is fantastic at what she does, offers the most amazing support to family's and has the biggest heart ❤️

Hi echoqg58

Thank you for taking time to leave such a lovely compliment for Gemma, she will be humbled by your praise. I will make sure she sees your comments.

I am so pleased that she has been such a support to you and your family during what must have been a very stressful and worrying time. We are very proud of the service all our HV teams provide and it is lovely to hear that you have benefitted from this.

I hope that things get easier for you and that your little one keeps well. Gemma will be with you until he goes to school so please don't hesitate to call on her when needed.

kindest regards

Helen Leigh
