"Absolute professionalism"

About: St John's Hospital / Day Surgery Unit St John's Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat St John's Hospital / X-rays & Scans

(as the patient),

I had fairly minor, day surgery in my ear at St. Johns in 2024.

From the beginning of the whole procedure including MRI, CT and Ultrasound scans to post surgery checkups, I can only say that it was carried out with absolute professionalism and kindness.

I realise the NHS as a whole gets pretty bad media coverage at the moment and I can only imagine how an employee feels reading constantly depressing stories.

I just hope that all your staff realise that what they do is much appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Thank you.

Dear ENT#1Dept

Thank you for taking the time to send this lovely feedback. Really nice to hear that you had a good experience while using our services.

I agree with your comment about the media and the effects this can have - I know that everyone does their best to deliver high quality care.

I will ensure this is past to the team.

I hope you are continuing to recover.

Thank you for taking the time to send in this lovely feedback. I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience within the different modalities of the Radiology department. I will pass on you kind words and thanks to the team.

It's so easy for the media to create a negative view of the NHS, and it is lovely to hear from someone who has had such a positive response.

I wish you a good ongoing recovery.

Audrey Lorraine, CT/MRI Team Lead
