"Safe delivery"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

This is a care opinion for a gentleman who went above and beyond for me while having my planned section of my baby girl early. He was our anaesthetist for procedure and his name was Euan.

What people would think was a small gesture meant a huge thing to me. Allowing me to see what was going on behind me when baby was delivered, flipping my pillow to cold side as I writhed about in pain due to spinal weaning off, topping me up with pain relief as needed and keeping water etc close to hand.

He kept me informed pre, during and post procedure. His mannerism and approach to patient care really went above and beyond and this is from someone who works in the NHS themselves.

My whole experience this time round has been phenomenal with it being planned section, but I felt Euan needed a big shout out for his dedication and hard work.

Dear Feebee

Congratulations on the birth of your baby! I thank you for sharing your experience with us and the shout out to Euan for going above and beyond to make your experience memorable.

I will ensure your message is passed on to Euan and thank you again for writing to us during what must be a busy time for you.

I wish you and your family the best of ongoing health

Best wishes

Attica
