About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Pre-Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I was met by lovely admin staff.  I was then seen by Gemma, Louise and Teresa. The Pre Op Nursing Staff.  Thorough and lovely consultation throughout. I felt safe and they helped with all aspects of my upcoming operation.  The nursing staff are the fundamental building blocks to our NHS.  Without these great ladies I don’t know where any of the Trust would be. This includes all staff who work tirelessly and aren’t given enough credit for the demand the roles are playing on our health service.

Hi uniformke74,

My name is Marie Devlin and I am the manager of the pre -op assessment team.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give such positive feedback. The staff all work very hard to ensure that each patients experience is personal to them and I am extremely proud of them all. We understand that patients can be very apprehensive about their surgery and anaesthetic and we try to allay any fears or worries that they may have.

I will pass on your kind compliments to all the staff they will be delighted.

I wish you well with your pending surgery and a speedy recovery.
