Having just received a definitive diagnosis of a digestive issue after months of tests, I was referred to the Dietetics Dept within Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
I was feeling particularly low in mood and unsure about the changes I needed to make to my diet to minimise the awful symptoms I was experiencing. I had two phone consults with the most knowledgeable and understanding dietician. I don’t think she realises the effect she’s had on my feel good factor. She was totally up to speed on all aspects of my condition. I was most definitely overthinking the whole food situation and she explained how to simplify things and not get myself into a panic over food. She was exactly what I needed and straight away I approached my condition from a completely different head space and for the first time in almost a year I am feeling motivated and happy. I have nothing but praise for my two sessions as they were so worthwhile and to think I dismissed the dietiary input as unnecessary. I mean, what was going to change ? She informed me of little tricks and tips to enhance my meals.
I am grateful to the input from her. She had exactly the right attitude and more importantly is that she listened to me even although I know I probably talked too much. In my defence I was just pleased to have the help I so desperately needed - I just didn’t realise I needed expert advice.
So, only positive feedback from me.
Well done !
