"Gave me support when times were tough"

(as a carer),

My partner fractured his back in December and was discharged from Wishaw General in January. On discharge I telephoned the Bellshill Physiotherapy rehabilitation team and the very same day Kevin called to give advice and arrange an appointment to visit my partner at home which is excellent service.

Leading on from this Kevin has given us fantastic Physiotherapy advice, help and intervention over the past few months which has helped with my partner's rehabilitation. He also focused on my partner's mental health by giving him the confidence to face his fear of returning to his routine and accessing our local community activities.

As a carer for my partner, Kevin gave me support when times were tough, backing up my encouragement towards my partner to listen and respond to my requests to exercise more which I really appreciated.

Overall Kevin is a credit to his profession and to the Bellshill Community Physiotherapy Integrated Rehabilitation Service.

Thank you so much for your feedback and for telling us about the level of support both you and your partner have received not only generally from Bellshill Integrated Rehabilitation Team but mainly Kevin, our Specialist Physiotherapist.

I am glad to hear of the positives in your partner's rehabilitation and thank you to you and your partner for engaging with Kevin and the support offered, we are privileged to be able to support you both and be welcomed into your home, thank you.

It is refreshing to hear that Kevin also supported your partner's mental health as we appreciate that this is just as important as physical health; it is refreshing to hear of your partner's increased confidence and also yours in writing this feedback.

That you have written that Kevin is a credit to his profession and to the Bellshill Community Physiotherapy Integrated Rehabilitation Service is wonderful to hear, I thank you for your very kind feedback.
