I saw my gp about an ongoing abdominal issue on tuesday to be told she would arrange an ultrasound. Had a text from on Thursday telling me that there was availability for a scan in my area and to call to make an appointment. I called, spoke with a lady in an overseas call centre who told me that there was no availability, I could not make an appointment and they would get in touch when I could. Nhs has outsourced this service to a shockingly bad company. How much are the trust paying for that? Will go back to my gp- can’t call as they don’t answer the phones - and try to get this sorted by bypassing this horrendous company! If your gp overs you this, refuse!
