We went through IVF to have our baby and initially I was poorly at egg collection, then the frozen transfer was successful, however very early on had a miscarriage. We proceeded with round 2 and had a pregnancy that was up and down and saw us spending a lot of time in hospital. My body presented as though I was miscarrying, however through some miracle our baby was absolutely fine. And along came our child after an emergency section. When our child was just 6 weeks old I had my gallbladder removed.
As a result of many things I felt that I was not good enough and that everyone else knew better than I did. Some people did not respect decisions and made my journey difficult.
I was sad, anxious, beginning to have panic attacks and found myself in a constant state of worry. It got to a point where I was worried about the bond with my child, despite having a great support network this was not enough to build my confidence.
I was assigned a wellbeing health visitor and she helped turn my life around. Nicola has been an amazing support and guided me through the rocky patch that I found myself in. Without her support I am unsure where I would be now mentally. She has been truly amazing and for the first time in a long time I can say that I'm proud of how far I have come and what I have achieved.
