About: Pike Medical Practice

Phone lines are mostly engaged and when you do get through you are instantly put on hold. I understand it’s a busy practice but i recently visited and there were around six staff in total and only one trying to both answer the phone and be on the reception desk. In the last year there was an incident where my blood samples were lost and I had to repeat them only for them not to be on record the second time.

The doctors are always brilliant even the locum ones I can’t fault them, however the reception has really gone downhill the last year or two and I have been at this practice all my life, although I don’t need to see a gp regularly I have noticed the change and I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for patients who need regular care.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your review on NHS choices. I appreciate your frustration with the Phone lines, we are working hard with NHSE to rectify. We have other avenues of contacting the surgery
