"An excellent experience and a brilliant team"

I injured my wrist one week previously after a fall trying to save my 7yr old granddaughter from falling off her scooter. It remained painful and after light gardening chores was getting worse. It had swollen and that morning was a little discoloured. I rang the Phone First service and opted for an appt in the Mid Ulster as I had used this service once before and found it excellent. I was given an appt for 12.20pm the same day. I arrived with my wife at 12.05pm, was called in to be seen at 12.10pm and was x-rayed, treated and ready to go home at 12.30pm.

All of the staff were just excellent. They were kind, compassionate, respectful, knowledgeable and utterly professional. Heather, the specialist nurse was so thoughtful and dealt with my slight hearing impairment in a very respectful and appropriate way. Both Heather and her colleague Jennifer were just what I always believed that nurses should be. They both came out at the end of the appt and spoke to my wife and explained the treatment to her too.

The environment in this amazing unit was so clean and quiet and is the environment that patients should be exposed to. An excellent experience and a brilliant team, from reception right the way through.
