"Great company, faulty roller blind and music speakers quality"

About: Locality Health and Care Services / Day Services - North

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I enjoy the company, and we do a lot of different things like dominos, and bowls. It can be a bit repetitive, but monotony is a part of life though, and we do different activities but they tend to be the same things eventually. It's good to challenge memory when we are talking about the past or doing activities.

There is one roller blind in the activity room which is a problem as it doesn't work as it should, and sometimes the sun coming in is just too much. It's also hard to get good quality music speakers, you can't hear them and sometimes there is just too much noise for some. I suppose it's personal to the individual.

Hi,

My name is Ally and I manage Day Care Services for Older People in East Ayrshire. Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback to us. I'm sorry to hear that you find the activity program can sometimes be repetitive - we will have a look at this. If there are particular activities you would like to see please discuss this with your key worker and we will do our best to incorporate these into the offering.

We will also look at getting that roller blind looked at - thanks for bringing to my attention. With regard to the speakers, we are in the process of investing in some new digital technology and part of this was better quality speakers so hopefully this will improve the quality of sound.

Thanks again for your feedback - it really is appreciated and helps us to improve the experience for everyone.

Kind regards,

Ally Smith
