When a patient has chronic pain and a pain specialist recommends pain killers to help the pain it’s not fair that you as the GP refuse to prescribe the painkillers when they are on the formulary and approved by NICE. It’s not ethical to leave a patient in pain and suffering knowing that medication can help and you refuse to accept the specialist advice of a consultant and refuse to prescribe it. You can’t just go around assuming the worst in patients and thinking we are feigning symptoms especially when my MRI scan and nerve conduction test show I have 4 slipped discs squashing the nerves in my legs and I can barely walk. This is uncaring and your approach shows no sympathy or kindness. And your practice manager seriously lacks professionalism and is exceptionally rude and and shouldn’t be in that role. When will the regulator act?
"They leave you in agony and pain"
