"Great experience for her"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Outpatient Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had an appointment at ENT & she required some bloods to be taken. My daughter is autistic & doesn’t respond well to unexpected things happening.

Denise the play worker was great with her as was hcsw Jess & studen nurse Niamh. She left the department smiling.

Great experience for her. Thank you.

Good afternoon @kmc91x

As the Senior Charge Nurse of the Outpatients Department. I would like to thank you for taking the time to write lovely feedback on your recent visit to the treatment room following an ENT appointment.

I am especially delighted that the care your daughter received from the team was excellent.

Denise is wonderful with the our patients and tailors distraction therapies to each individual. I will ensure that Denise is recognised for her great work when caring for your daughter.

Jess and Niamh are very caring and compassionate, I am thrilled that they both cared for your daughter and yourself in a kind and gentle way, they will also be given recognition of their good work.

Kindness goes a long way and I am so happy that your daughter left our department smiling. For you as a parent this must be a wonderful moment to cherish.

I hope all goes well for your daughter in the future.

Kind Regards

Mhairi Stirrat
