"A truly remarkable level of care"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Community Stroke Neuro Rehabilitation Team University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 6)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Hairmyers hospital acute stroke ward 6 in January 2024 following a severe stroke.

I stayed for almost 3months and it's now almost a year since I was discharged and I wanted to publicly thank ALL the staff on the ward for a truly remarkable level of care which has helped me to realise that I may have a post stroke future after all.

I'm still a long way from where I want to be, but without the care, support and encouragement I received I would be in a very different dark place.

I owe them all so much. Thank You everyone from Jan -April 2024
