"Hugely supportive GP"

About: Nexus Health Group

I had an accident in February 2025, which resulted in a head injury and concussion. Despite visiting A&E at St Thomas Hospital, my head scan has not been taken. By complete coincidence, I had a booked appointment with my GP for another case the day after the accident. The doctor, seeing my condition, immediately referred me for a head scan and many other tests. In addition, when my condition worsened in the following days, the doctor responded very dynamically and quickly by referring me for further tests, which resulted in many of them being performed on the same day, making a significant difference to the course of my treatment. The doctor also regularly chased my test results and immediately connected me with specialists. This doctor is a great listener. I was met with remarkable empathy, responsiveness and efficient communication from my GP. I am grateful for her quick responses and understanding of the seriousness of my condition.

Sometimes, a doctor's phone call asking, ‘How are you feeling?’ when we need it most is invaluable, impacting the course of treatment and giving the patient a sense of safety and care.
