"I feel completely let down"

About: Western Health & Social Care Trust / Community Midwifery Services

(as the patient),

I was midwife led and feel completely let down. I had got the sweep and 24 hours later I went into labour and told there was no heart beat.

I also felt pressured into going to classes that I attended two, first one was about feeding. I wanted to formula feed but in the class they spoke only about breast feeding and when a video was being played about feeding they switched it off as soon as the video went to talk about formula feeding.

When asked I had mentioned that I would like to formula feed and then told - why don’t you try breast feeding, as if formula feeding is completely wrong. I left this class feeling really really embarrassed.

They kept putting my check-up appointments on the morning of the classes that I felt pressured into going. I tried telling them no, that I had work, and to be told that I get out of work for this, I just felt like I had no choice.

Disappointed in this health service.
