I started therapy because I was finding it hard to enjoy life, I felt so anxious all the time and really struggled to think rationally. When I first started therapy with Trina I was struggling with everyday tasks, my mood was always low, I wasn’t eating or sleeping properly and I felt like I was just going to have to accept that this was the way life would be.
Throughout therapy I learnt a lot about myself and discovered ways of challenging my thoughts. One thing that really helped me throughout my therapy journey was setting goals as this allowed me to look back and be more aware of the progress I was making. By the end of therapy I had achieved all the goals I set out to achieve at the start. I can now say I enjoy life, although I still have some anxious thoughts they have significantly reduced and when I am anxious I find it much easier to handle because I have the tools I need to deal with it.
I no longer struggle with eating and sleeping and have stopped using all my safety behaviours. I also feel happier in myself and no longer feel the need to seek approval off others. My therapist really helped me to understand myself and put a stop to my irrational thinking. Therapy really helped me in so many ways.
