I recently gave birth to my little boy at FVRH. My antenatal care the whole way through was excellent. I had to attend triage twice with various concerns and I was always seen promptly and investigated thoroughly. I also felt well looked after at each of my planned appointments.
I was in labour for 2 days which ended in an emergency c section. The whole time I was in active labour I had an amazing midwife by my side and a student midwife looking after me. My birth plan was discussed and adhered to at all stages. My pain was managed and taken seriously at every stage. The team that took me to theatre and performed my surgery were incredible and the midwife and student who looked after me stayed with me past their shift until my baby boy was safely delivered.
We stayed in hospital for a week and in this time my son was also looked after by neo natal unit who were also fantastic. My care during recovery also could not have been any better.
I am so thankful to have had such a positive experience and can’t thank all the staff enough for their care of both me and my baby boy.
