"Well done to all the team"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son was injured while playing football and sustained a kick to the head and suffered concussion .

It was very frightening and there was concerns he may have sustained a fracture to his jaw and eye socket and was in severe pain and distress.

The care and attention he received was fantastic. The department was extremely busy and the staff were professional, calm and caring towards my son and family during a very frightening event.

We would like to thank the reception staff for their kindness and compassion, along with Dr Nasirr and the nurses Michelle and Emma for their professionalism and attention and care for which we are truly grateful, as it could of been a lot worse situation and we were reassured with the swift attention to his assessment and diagnosis despite the pressures the staff are under they were doing a fantastic job.

Well done to all the team in the Emergency Department, thank you so much.

Dear June13,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience within our Emergency Department and I am delighted to hear that you, and your son had a positive experience. I am pleased that you found our staff to be caring, calm and professional, and will share your lovely comments with Dr Nassir, Michelle and Emma whom you have mentioned personally.

I wish your son a speedy recovery.

Best wishes, Julie.
