I attended the Golden Jubilee Hospital for a colonoscopy - a procedure that no one looks forward to.
Pre-procedure I was looked after by a very nice nurse named Sophie who put me at ease and made me very comfortable. All the staff made sure I was ok while waiting to go and have my colonoscopy.
The doctor came out before and spoke to me and again made me feel very at ease. The staff during the procedure were amazing! The consultant and the doctor were brilliant and both nurses spoke to me throughout and I had zero pain.
On recovery the nurse made sure I was safe to leave and the healthcare support worker ensured I got a much needed cup of tea.
Overall this was a much better experience than I was expecting. All the staff were caring and provided extremely high person centred care.
The unit itself was very clean and tidy and the environment was safe. The staff were all amazing and I have zero negative comments about the unit or the care received.
All the staff were happy at their work and that was really nice to hear and see - they were very busy but all continued to show kindness and high quality care to all patients
"Amazing team providing high quality care"
