I attended my GP who checked me for vertigo , and the test I performed caused some concern and I was advised to attend Craigavon accident and emergency.
I attended at 11:30am, seen the triage nurse quickly, then had a long wait for bloods and ecg.
Around 6:30pm I was seen by a doctor who repeated my balance tests, again due to one result not being quite right I was referred for a Ct scan of brain.
This was performed around 8pm and I was given my results and medications and discharged home about 9:30pm.
Casualty was extremely busy throughout the day. It was clear when I was in the green area how many patients were being nursed on the corridors also.
I found the all staff very busy throughout my time in casualty. But they were also very courteous, helpful and kind too. I especially want to mention Nurse Jess, Dr's Philip and Oliver. Also the CT scanning staff who had just came on night duty. You provide great care in a very busy environment. Also to Dr Gamal for his thoroughness in sending me to casualty.
Well done.
