I fell up the steps of my house late Jan 2025. My thumb and hand were very painful but I decided to 'wait and see' what would happen.
On the Sunday after, the pain was worse so I called 111, the lady was so nice and said it sounded like a fracture so she made an appointment to go to Arbroath Minor injuries. There I was treated so well and the Nurse agreed it looked like a fracture and to return the following day for an X ray which confirmed that my thumb was fractured. Again X-ray staff were so kind and I was seen on time.
From there I was told to attend at Ninewells Hospital Physiotheraphy Dept. next day.
At first I was seen by Physiotherapist Cyndi and then by Rebecca who has been so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I have now been discharged but really wanted to place on record my appreciation of the wonderful care and attention I have received from NHS Tayside at every stage of recovery from this unfortunate accident.
"Excellent NHS service"
