Two fabulous ladies man the Leg Ulcer Clinic at Hythe Hospital, Hampshire.
My father and I first met Bobbie when dad was referred to the clinic with an ulcer that would not heal and swelling so acute that he could not get any shoes on.
We were met with smiles and the assessment was professional and extremely thorough - everything was positive, what the clinic could do to help, what dad could do to help, possible outcomes and future options. Dad was concerned about showering and a limbo was ordered immediately. Follow-ups were scheduled before we left the clinic. All very impressive.
Unfortunately, dad is now bed-bound but each appointment has been maintained via home visits carried out by either Bobbie or Monika.
A fine example of a healthcare service that really works.
Thank you.
