"Play therapist needle therapy"

About: Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Play Services

(as a service user),

My daughter has been going to needle therapy for a few months now. She has a severe fear of needles. Due to our amazing play therapist, Claire, my daughter recently had her platelet function test.

Claire went above and beyond for my daughter, and even came into work early to support her through it. I couldn’t sing her praise more.

My daughter is so grateful to her and said she would do it again if Claire was there. Honestly we can’t thank her enough. My daughter's own words are -  she’s amazing, mum.

Dear Ellen372,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on this platform. I realise people are very busy so we are always grateful for them taking time out of their busy day to do this.

I manage the play team in the hospital, of which Claire is part. I am glad that Claire was able to make such a difference to your daughters hospital experience and that she was able to have her platelet function test completed. I will make sure Claire sees these lovely comments and I am sure that she too will be very grateful.

I am sure that Claire would have provided contact details for future appointments so please don't hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards

Margaret McEwan
