"Everyone was so pleasant and friendly"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as a service user),

I recently  received cataract surgery at Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline at the Cataract Unit. I was lucky enough to get a cancellation for the surgery the following day. Everything was explained over the phone beforehand.

I arrived at the unit and from the moment I got there I was treated so nice and everyone was so pleasant and friendly. They explained every step to me.

I met the surgeon who was doing my procedure before she started and was very conscious of me being a little nervous. She reassured me and felt more relaxed.

The procedure was 100% successful and was advised on my aftercare. All the staff on the unit were so friendly and supportive and made my experience so much more relaxed. Couldn’t fault them at all.

Thank you to all the staff for taking great care of me. Hopefully not too long till I get my 2nd one done. Life is so much easier !

Dear mrsyoung,

Thank you for taking to leave feedback on your visit to the cataract unit.

Fantastic news that you were offered a cancellation slot and from the start everything was explained clearly to you.

It definitely sounds like the team were supportive in helping you to feel relaxed from the start.

We wish you well in your recovery

best wishes

Stacey
