I tried to book an appointment but was told there was a four-week wait. I then waited the four weeks and was told I needed a blood test, and needed to wait a further five weeks for this. At the follow up appointment to get my results, I was told I needed a prescription of folic acid and that it would be sent to the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and was told that the medication hadn’t been prescribed. I then went onto the NHS app and was told that the doctor had looked at results from 2023 instead of now. Nobody told me this, I had to find it on my medical records instead. Why was a doctor looking at blood test results from two years ago?
On a separate occasion, I needed to order another prescription. But I was told it would take five days for the doctors to confirm that I could have it - even though I have been taking the medication for over a year. I rang up the doctors and was 12 in the queue, so decided to go down. I had the door shut in my face and was told they were closed for staff training and to ring up tomorrow. This was an urgent enquiry as I needed the medication before five days and online it says they are open until 6.30pm. There was no mention of staff training online or when ringing the practice. I was panicking about my medication so went to the pharmacy, luckily they managed to help me.
Nearly every single time I’ve had an appointment at this practice, I feel like I haven’t been listened to. I have suffered with extremely painful periods for years and had to go private, as this practice wouldn’t take me seriously.
