"Feel like I was forgotten about"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Just want to start off by saying it is not all staff, a lot of the midwives I had were angels, but I’ve had others not so good.

I understand how difficult your job is and how stressful it can be, but I think you need to be mindful on how you speak to people and the tone you speak to them in, you never know what someone is going through mentally and your words and actions can really have an impact on someone.

I also felt just left to my own accord, I never knew 100% what was going on with my care, multiple different midwives  saying different things I had also buzzed multiple times someone would come in and say they would go and get someone and I wouldn’t see anyone for over an hour. I totally get that it’s busy, but even just to pop your head in and say what’s going on.

I also asked multiple people about my care and never got a clear answer, my partner also witnessed most of the situations as he was on the phone, just feel like I was forgotten about and left to worry in a room on my own with absolutely no reassurance.
