"Seeing how effectively you all worked was outstanding"

About: Maternity care / Labour suite maternity Maternity care / Maternity Assesment/Triage Maternity care / Maternity care (Ward 48)

(as a service user),

So I was scheduled for induction of labour in March 2025 arrived at ward 48 Qeuh shown my room and put on the monitor by midwife Stacey I'm sure her name was, the ward was extremely busy in which there was a delay in people going to labour ward due to staffing issues.

Eventually was taken to the labour ward a few days later where I was cared for by midwife Kirsty and after an 8 hour labour went on to safely deliver our beautiful baby girl.

I would like to say a massive thank you to staff in the Qeuh maternity for looking after us and also keeping us updated with scheduling and any issues that arose.

Seeing how understaffed but how effectively you all worked was outstanding. Again thank you so much to all of you.

Dear Jasminavs152,

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about the birth of your baby boy here at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity Unit in Glasgow and congratulations!

It is reassuring to read how our team kept you well informed and updated during the induction process and how effectively the team worked together. We are delighted to have recruited a number of new midwives across Greater Glasgow and Clyde and look forward to welcoming them all on board soon.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Gaynor
