"Admitted for cleft palate surgery"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A)

(as a service user),

Excellent care from everyone, the play leaders, nurses health care assistants, student nurses, domestic, surgeons. Everyone was amazing and made such a challenging time that little bit easier. Everyone asked my son if he had any questions and they treated him with such care.

The theatre team were amazing giving constant reassurance and distracting him when putting his cannula in. After his operation he was quickly given pain relief and lots of reassurance. We are eternally grateful for the amazing care he was given.

Hi lotionqw35

Thank you so much for your kind feedback regarding your sons recent stay in Ward 1A for cleft surgery. It is a stressful time for all the family when you have to bring your child in for surgery and I'm happy that everything went as smoothly as possible. It really makes a difference to the staff reading such positive comments.

I hope you son is recovering well at home and I will ensure that your comments are passed on to all the staff involved.

Kind regards

Suzanne Pearson
