I had a routine eye test and the optician noted that my optical nerves were potentially swollen and sent a referral to the neuro-ophthalmology clinic. I received an appointment within ten weeks and I was very anxious going to the appointment today.
Every member of staff I came into contact with was lovely, especially the man who did my visual field test. When I told him I was nervous he reassured me that I was not alone and explained everything thoroughly. The doctor I saw was fantastic, she explained everything in a way I could understand, reassured me and advised me what to do if I had any further issues. I've never had issues with my eyes and it's my first time visiting the eye hospital but it was as pleasant as a hospital visit can be and I'm grateful for the dedication of the wonderful staff.
