"A fantastic example and role model"

We had our son in early March 2025 in altnagelvin hospital. Our midwife’s name was Mavis. We also had a number of students with us and I unfortunately don’t remember their names.

The Labour its self was very difficult and had a few complications. Mavis was absolutely outstanding. Her care, compassion and bed side Manner was second to none! She made us feel so comfortable and reassured us at all times. This lady really is a fantastic example and role model to student midwife’s of how to be the best you can possibly be and how to care about the ladies in the labour ward.

We can’t thank her enough for getting our son her safely in the circumstances we were faced with. We will always remember her for the lady she is. She shared so many stories with us and made us laugh which made the experience so much more relaxing. We again just want to publicly Thank Mavis for everything. You are a true lady.
