"Allowed us space to bring our baby into the world"

About: Yeovil District Hospital / Community Maternity Care

(as the patient),

The home birth team were excellent in supporting me through my pregnancy and postnatally as well. Penny always greeted me with a smile at our appointments, instantly putting me at ease and always helpful in answering any questions that I had.

I attended the meet and greet, which was a great opportunity to meet other expectant families and familiarise ourselves with the rest of the home birth team.

During labour, Rachel attended first reassuring and supporting me through the first stage of labour, ensuring that both me and baby were well. Lucy and Carla attended later on and guided myself and also my partner through the last stages of labour.

Everyone was very supportive, allowing us our own time and space to bring our baby in to the world!
