"The nurses did a great job of looking after me"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Medical Day Unit

(as the patient),

I had to attend the Medical Day Unit for a test and was told I would be there for just under five hours. The Endocrine Nurse Karen who was looking after me made sure everything was explained and if I had any questions I was free to ask.

Karen was going to have to leave before the test was due to finish but she had an assistant, Agnes, who was helping and would finish the test.

During my time on the ward I was constantly asked if I was doing ok and the nurses did a great job of looking after me.

After the test was finished Agnes doubled checked I wasn't having any symptoms and was fine to leave.

We are so pleased to hear that your visit was a positive one and that you felt well-informed, cared for, and supported throughout your time with us. It’s wonderful to know that Karen took the time to clearly explain everything and made you feel comfortable to ask questions.

We’re also very glad to hear that Agnes and the rest of the nursing team continued to support you with kindness and attentiveness, and that you felt safe and well looked after from start to finish. We will make sure your lovely feedback is passed on to both Karen and Agnes, as well as the wider team—they will be delighted to know their care made a difference.
