"Outstanding maternity care"

I gave birth to my little boy last week via planned c-section at FVRH. The whole experience was incredibly positive, and the care I received from admission to discharge was truly outstanding! 

Firstly I would like to send my utmost thanks to Dr. Alexander who we met the previous week in the antenatal clinic. He took the time to explain our situation in detail, in a manner that was calm and that we understood. Dr. Alexander delivered our baby and having this follow through of care was lovely. His caring, relaxed nature has stayed with us and he is a fantastic asset to the maternity unit and his profession- thank you!! 

Secondly, thank you to all the staff who were present throughout the section, and on Ward 8 afterwards. Every single person we came into contact with was just amazing, and allowed us to have the most magical birth experience. Larissa the Nursery Nurse was so kind and helpful through the night especially.

Lastly, Vivienne the 3rd year student midwife was absolutely fantastic- we met Vivienne on arrival and she stayed with us throughout the day. Her confidence and kindness settled my nerves and she will be a fantastic midwife- best of luck in your chosen career, you were made for it!
