"Excellent experience "

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I was taken ill on the M42 with chest pain and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. I spent many hours in the SDEC unit where I was looked after by marvellous nursing staff. The results of many ECGs and blood tests came back normal but due to the diligence of the doctors I was admitted to the cardiac ward where I stayed for three nights. Nursing care was exemplary. Following an angiogram I was fitted with a stent because one of my main arteries was 90% narrowed. I was so glad those dedicated doctors had not just sent me home after initial normal results. I was a frightened 78 year old women who was 90 miles away from home but I couldn’t have picked a better place to be ill. Thank you so much for the wonderful service I received and am now making a good recovery.
