After I had taken ill I was in the Victoria Hospital for some time. Eventually I was told I was being transferred to Letham Ward Cameron Hospital.
I really struggle with change but by day two I was settled and at ease and it was all due to the caring and kind staff. Nothing has been too much for any of them. The Activities Coordinator has supported me with everything and made my time here enjoyable by keeping us busy.
I am very grateful to both Physio and occupational Therapy, they have helped with everything I have needed and been very patient with me.
There is only one thing letting this ward down and it is the toilets and shower room, there is no grab rail and nowhere to put our smelly stuff to hand . How are we to be independent when we are not safe in the shower or toilet?
