"They were so lovely and caring"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Early Pregnancy Assessment Service

(as the patient),

Thank you to the wonderful staff at EPAS wishaw general hospital for making such a difficult time a bit easier for me and my husband when attending for a scan to confirm loss of heart beat and surgical management of miscarriage a few days later.

The team who scanned me were very thoughtful, the midwife Melissa who explained my management options was lovely. She explained all my options and gave me time to think through these without pressure. Her kindness will always be remembered.

The EPAS team, Emma and midwife Tracey were with me all day when I arrived for surgery. They were so lovely and caring and made a difficult day a bit easier. They explained everything so well and took away some of my fears. Thank you so much to you both for looking after me and my husband so well that day.

The porter who transferred me to surgery and wishaw surgical/ theatre team were amazing also. They made me feel a bit more relaxed under the circumstances. The anaesthetist took great care of me and the recovery staff were with me when I woke up and made sure I was comfortable when I returned to the ward.

The obstetric surgeon came to see me afterwards and discuss everything had gone well.

Thankyou again everyone. Especially Melissa, Emma and Tracey at EPAS.

You dint have an easy job but you made my experience that bit better and I went home knowing there is a great/knowledgeable team there if I ever need to be seen by the EPAS service again.
