My husband who is elderly and has various health conditions tried to get a GP appointment following Pharmacy advice. He was told no appointments for 3 weeks despite surgery being empty at the time. He questioned this and was told GP’s don’t do morning appointments. He was told to ring 111! This is not following NHS guidelines contact GP to alleviate pressure on A&E! What does it take to get an appointment within a reasonable timeframe?
