"I felt very much at ease and relaxed"

I had an MRI arranged by my consultant, Mr Sloan, for an update on my condition. From my arrival greeted by Paula at reception who gave me the required documents for me to read and sign, she was brilliant helping me with the vending machine as the cafeteria was closed and I was having difficulty swiping my card!

What seemed no time Suzanne the radiographer introduced herself and accompanied me to the waiting area where we completed the necessary paperwork. Even though I had had a MRI in the past Suzanne reminded me of how and what would happen.

Going into the room I felt very much at ease and relaxed, when Raymond who introduced himself and Charlotte the second radiographer introduced herself they offered and helped me on to the scanner explaining again the process Raymond then asked me what music I wanted to listen to.

Classic FM was duly selected and so it began, reassurance and explanation as to what I needed to do when changing position was given during the procedure. I knew I would have been given help at any time if required which again was very reassuring.
