I was admitted via A&E with heart problems. I was transferred to AAU ward. I was attached to a ECG monitor Nursing care was excellent. The staff nurse from Fort William deserves a medal. All sorts of patients came and went. Some transferred to wards others discharged. All were treated with dignity and compassion. Several patients were fed by nurses. One man who was confused kept trying to pull his drip out, getting out of bed and was in grave danger of another fall, was assigned a nurse who remained at his bedside 24/7. The A&E consultant was excellent, sympathetic, sensible. My transfer to Bronte ward (cardiac) took a long time. (4 days)
