About: Harrogate District Hospital

After spending time on both wards during my stay, I was disgusted with the lack of care and respect from the nurses on Nidderdale ward. I was in a room with five elderly patients and our nurse shouted at them and spoke to them awfully. It made me cringe. The same nurse made several mistakes with my care and even starved me for several hours of food and drink for no reason. When I got told I was moving wards I was told it was because I was the 'youngest, healthiest and there wasn't anything wrong with me'. I was pleased when the nurses on Swaledale were nothing like this. They couldn't have done more for me. I have since been diagnosed with a chronic illness and will have pleasure informing the nurse on Nidderdale of this.
