I was really pleased to have my day surgery moved to Hartlepool as I live 10 minutes walk away and going to North Tees is expensive and a hassle. On Thursday 6th March 2013 I had a large Lipoma removed from my back and from walking through the door in the Access Lounge the staff where happy and welcoming. I have to say that every staff member from the nurses, surgeon, anesthetist to the guy who walked me to theatre where all very happy, polite and fully explained what was going on. They put me at ease and are an absolute credit to the NHS. People are quick to complain about the NHS and particularly the jumped up trust board who are killing the local NHS reputation, but it is the staff on the floor that make the difference and for me on Thursday they did exactly that - well done and thank you very much !
"Just how it should be done !"
