"Repeated admissions and discharges for my mother one after another"

About: Runnymede Reablement Service St Peter's Hospital / Accident and emergency St Peter's Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

A&E 1st visit sent home with antibiotics. 3 days later admitted to Short Stay Medical, then moved to Holly Ward.

In my opinion that must be the worst ward in this country. She was discharged 2 days later. Within 36 hrs readmitted Short Stay Medical, then moved to Swift Ward and then discharged 2 days later.

Her after care is being handled by Runnymede Reablement. The whole process has been like a bad joke.

We are sorry and concerned to hear about your mother’s experiences at St Peter’s Hospital and that the care she received was not of the high standard we expect. The feedback we receive about Holly Ward from patients and their families is usually very good, so it is particularly concerning to hear this was not the case for your mother.

I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your experiences in more detail. If you are willing to do so, please contact me directly on 01932 722190. I have also passed your comments onto Runnymede Reablement Services who I am sure would also like to discuss any concerns with you.
